He-Man was secretly the carefree prince Adam, and would transform into He-Man with a magical sword by exclaiming " By the Power of Grayskull!, I have the Power!". He-Man is a mighty warrior chosen by the Sorceress of Greyskull to be its guardian, as underneath the Castle was immense, primordial powers of the Universe. Everyone - Bree included - laughs as the director and another crew member present Reed with tools to prevent a repeat of the incident.Masters of the Universe is a franchise that started with a toyline by Mattel. The director informs Reed and Bree that the incident triggered an HR meeting and then reads them a letter expressing The Walt Disney Company's dedication to workplace safety, while rolling his eyes throughout. During a rehearsal for a sex scene, Key's Reed predictably gets an erection and Greer's Bree broadcasts it to everyone else on set. However, rather than actually exploring any of this, Reboot's writers lean into tired "old versus young" jokes before deciding that Gordon's approach is more or less correct.Įlsewhere, Reboot's broad and stale humor also spins into a bizarrely retrograde send up of consent and workplace safety issues. Gordon then hires three much older writers whom Hannah considers too hacky and dated to be funny.
